Robin oozes cool, personifies the concept of fierce and is a total bad ass with one hell of a story to tell. A New York lawyer who gave up her corporate career to run; a woman who has been held hostage at gun point; a Type1 diabetic who was diagnosed in her early thirties; a daughter supporting a mother with MS. This is a woman whose unique perspective will inspire you to get up, get out and ditch the excuses that have been holding you back. It's one of my favourite books to turn to when I need a little run-spiration.
Shut Up and Run is a beautiful book filled with colourful pictures and eye-catching design, it wouldn't look out of place on your coffee table. However, it's far from being all style and no substance. As a running coach and ultra marathoner Robin really knows what she's talking about, and Shut Up and Run is packed full of insightful and inspirational tips, tricks and motivation to get you going. Robin isn't the type of woman you ignore, and her infectious passion will push you to lace up your running shoes and test the limits of your potential.
What I love about this book is that you can dip in and out of it and you'll always find just what you need (seriously, I just opened up my copy and landed upon 'My Tips for Staying Fit on Vacation' - which is exactly what I need right now!). Whether you're after some tough love to get you out the door, practical gear recommendations, a banging playlist to hype you up or tips on the perfect snacks for a long run, Robin has you covered, all while convincing you you're capable of doing epic sh*t.
