A Pretty Place to Play x Bass & Breaks 5k Mix

A Pretty Place to Play x Bass & Breaks is a collaboration that I've wanted to happen for a long time. I regularly listen to mixes when I run and I wanted to be able to share more of the music that inspires me to keep going. I didn't want to just put together a playlist because, while a playlist is good, a mix is better. Running to a mix means the music doesn't stop, and when the mix is put together especially for running (like this one has!) it warms up and cools down in all the right places helping to motivate you through every stride. It's part of the recipe for a perfect run.

Putting this mix together not only means I get more banging music to run to (and so do you!), it also means that I got to work with my boyfriend! Yep, the glitter loving fan of DryRobes is a very talented DJ called Mike Swaine. Mike has been involved in music in one way or another for over 15 years and DJs the full spectrum of dance music, which has seen him play alongside legends like Skrillex, Jack Beats, Pendulum, Chase & Status, MistaJam, Eddy Temple Morris, Danny Byrd, Soul of Man and Dirty Sanchez, as well as hosting Temple of Boom at Secret Garden Party. On top of that he has hosted Bass & Breaks, a weekly radio show, for the last 10 years. It's fair to say he knows his stuff, which is why I am delighted I persuaded him to get on board and produce something for A Pretty Place to Play!

We think what we've made is pretty good, and you can download it below! Have a listen, take it out for a run, let us know what you think, you never know we might make some more!
