I'm a runner and a writer trying to make sense of life through words and movement.

Sometimes you need to get out of the city and feel the sea air.
Luckily, being in the UK, I am never more than 72 miles from the coast. While the British seaside is not glamorous, it is a huge part of British culture, and nothing beats a bag of chips on the beach!
Feeling in need of a little August getaway, DT and I headed to the coast and spent two days hanging out in Bournemouth, a lovely south coast seaside town with a vast blue flag beach and skies that stretch for miles. We strolled the promenade, ate obligatory chips and admired the ombre beach huts, coming home relaxed and happy - exactly what you want from a trip to the sea side.
